The Client Care Coordinator manages client accounts, respond to inquiries, provides general administrative support, and ensures that every client at Hope Grows receives excellent care.

L.B. Brown (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Alabama. L.B. completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work at the University of Alabama. She is also a Certified Financial Social Worker and available to provide financial literacy to overall improve your financial wellness. She has one year experience working in a rural community practicing community social work and another four years of experience providing services in an outpatient setting. She uses a holistic approach in therapy and will tailor the dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs while identifying your strengths and establishing goals. Her counseling style is warm and interactive and she believes in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Her methods in therapy combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioral approaches that are heavily psychosocial.

Shirey Brown is an Associate Licensed Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama. She is dedicated to helping individuals find their sense of purpose and offers an empathetic, meaningful, and client-centered approach to the therapeutic experience. She is passionate about aiding others in finding solutions to daily and lifelong challenges such as complex trauma, grief, stress, relationship difficulties, performance anxiety, and identity discovery. Her background in competitive athletics and performing arts also allows her to connect deeply with student-athletes and high-achieving, people-pleasing individuals who operate in intense, performance-driven environments.

Shirey integrates therapeutic techniques of Existentialism, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma-informed practices, and Psychodrama to collaborate with clients and create personalized treatment plans that support growth, healing, and a renewed sense of direction.

Gabrielle (she/her) earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Alabama and is dedicated to helping Individuals of all ages, couples, and families through a collaborative and empathetic approach. She is passionate about fostering identity development and personal empowerment, helping clients explore their authentic selves, and cultivating the strength to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. She is EMDR trained and incorporates trauma-informed approaches to support clients in processing and healing from past experiences.

Gabrielle is supervised by Danielle Russo, LMFT. Gabrielle does not accept insurance at this time, but offers a sliding scale to help ensure her services are affordable for all of her clients. She strives to create a warm, responsive, safe, collaborative environment where healing can begin. Whether you are struggling with navigating life changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues, relationships, or just need someone to talk to, Olivia is available to work with you and tailor treatment to your specific needs. She works with all backgrounds ages 12+ and is dedicated to providing support, tools, and knowledge necessary for growth. Kenzie (she/her) is a clinical mental health counselor with a Master’s degree from Indiana University. She is passionate about helping adults (18+) heal from distressing experiences and navigating life’s transitions with greater resilience and self-compassion. Many of her clients have faced challenges such as complex trauma, childhood trauma, grief, divorce, sexual assault, relationship issues, and coping with the stress of relocation and change.

In addition, Kenzie has a special passion for working with college students as they adjust to new environments, manage academic and social pressures, and navigate changes in relationships. She provides a supportive space for students to explore these transitions, build self-compassion, reduce stress, and develop healthy coping strategies.

Kenzie’s approach is empathetic and person-centered, meeting clients where they are while drawing from evidence-based therapies including Mindfulness-Based therapy, EMDR, and somatic therapy. She also integrates Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, parts work, and inner child work to create a holistic and personalized path toward healing. In sessions, Kenzie collaborates with clients to reduce the impact of traumatic memories, transform negative core beliefs, and build lasting self-compassion.

He is interested in creating a warm, inviting, and compassionate space where people can explore identity, cultural, and social ideas safely and collaboratively. Clint strives to help individuals empower themselves and reconnect with values-based living, utilizing his background in gender and race studies to integrate trauma-informed therapeutic techniques and modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy.

Dr. Andrea Whitten is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (LPC-S) in Alabama. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling at Middle Tennessee State University and completed her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Alabama.

She specializes in working with complex trauma, borderline personality disorder, dissociative disorders, and attachment concerns. Her goal is to help clients make sense of their experiences and move toward healing in a safe and supportive space.

Andrea draws from several approaches in her clinical work, including client-centered therapy, EMDR, somatic psychotherapy, and she is IFS-informed. These methods allow her to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs while honoring both the mind and body in the healing process.

At the core of her practice is a simple belief: every person is capable of growth and healing when given safety and compassion. Andrea is committed to walking alongside her clients with empathy and authenticity, helping them discover new ways to connect with themselves and others.
